...The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Flood Warning
for the following rivers in Illinois...

  Illinois River at Morris affecting Grundy County

.Runoff from recent rains has caused the water levels on a few
rivers and streams in the Illinois River basin to rise back to near
or above flood stage...especially near Morris.


Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Illinois River at Morris.
* until Wednesday evening.
* At 745 AM Tuesday the stage was 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late this morning and continue
  to rise to near 16.3 feet by early Wednesday.The river will fall
  below flood stage by Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet...Pine Bluff Road, west of Route 47, and
  Dwight Roads flood on south side of river.
