...The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Flood Warning
for the following rivers in California...

  Middle Fork Feather River Near Portola affecting Plumas COUNTY

For the Middle Fork Feather River...including Portola...
Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.


Additional rainfall from the past storm has resulted in a rise on the
Middle Fork Feather River with minor flooding expected to continue
this morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Never drive through flooded areas as rushing water can easily sweep a
car away.

The next forecast update for these locations will be issued at about
9 am PST.

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Middle Fork Feather River Near Portola.
* UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  1:30 AM Thursday the stage was 8.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 8.6 feet by early
  Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage late
  Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 8.5 feet...Flood Stage...some minor lowland flooding in
  reach between Beckwourth and Sloat California...including Portola.
  About 4100 cfs.
