...Warm Temperatures may cause Unseasonal Rapid Snowmelt this

An unusually strong upper level ridge will bring very strong
high pressure over our area. This will cause unseasonably warm
temperatures; even in higher elevations. Highs in the upper 40`s
to low 50`s are possible in the mountains. Impacts are most
likely for elevations under around 6000 feet. Some melting should
occur which may cause some creeks to quickly rise and also water
may pond in low lying areas. Snow melting will flow in local
drainages and roads and culverts may also be overwhelmed, so
caution should occur in those areas. No major flooding issues
are expected. Temperatures will drop back to freezing at night,
so primary concerns are during afternoon and evening hours
during the day. Ice jams may be of a conern as melting occurs
during the day and then refreezes at night. Please keep children
away from local streams as the melted snowpack is very cold
and very swift.
