Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

A band of rain showers moved northeast across the region this
afternoon and evening, producing rainfall amounts generally around
one tenth of an inch. Temperatures varied greatly today, with
daytime highs ranging from the mid 40s in south central Minnesota to
the mid 70s from eastern Iowa into central Wisconsin.

Additional rain showers are likely across the area tonight as low
pressure moves into the Upper Mississippi River Valley. A few
thunderstorms are also possible, mainly south of Interstate 90. Look
for low temperatures tonight ranging from the lower 40s from south
central Minnesota into northern Wisconsin to the upper 50s across
southern Wisconsin.

Chances for rain will continue into Wednesday before gradually
diminishing Wednesday night into Thursday. Temperatures will be
turning much cooler over the next couple days. On Thursday, high
temperatures will only reach into the 40s and lower 50s.
