REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR EASTERN KANSAS

SKIES RANGED FROM CLEAR TO CLOUDY ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS THIS
MORNING. A LARGE COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVED ACROSS NEBRASKA AND
WAS IMPACTING PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST KANSAS THIS MORNING.  WINDS WERE
LIGHT AND SOUTHEAST ACROSS MUCH OF KANSAS AND OKLAHOMA.  PREDAWN
TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE UPPER 60S AND LOW 70S ACROSS MUCH OF
SOUTHERN KANSAS AND OKLAHOMA TO THE UPPER 50S AND LOW 60S BEHIND THE
THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX ACROSS CENTRAL AND WESTERN NEBRASKA.

STORMS MAY LINGER ACROSS NORTHEAST KANSAS AND NORTHERN MISSOURI
THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS WHILE REDEVELOPING ACROSS NEBRASKA AND
NORTHERN KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.  BREEZY SOUTHERLY WINDS
WILL HELP DRIVE TEMPERATURES INTO THE 80S ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION
TODAY WHILE HIGHS ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS TOP OUT IN THE UPPER 90S.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS
ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN KANSAS INCLUDING NEBRASKA AND
MISSOURI WHILE SOUTHERN KANSAS AND OKLAHOMA REMAIN DRY.  SOUTHEAST
WINDS WILL PERSIST WITH LOWS IN THE 60S AND LOW 70S.
