An area of low pressure will approach the region tonight before
exiting off the coast Monday afternoon. This will result in an
increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight, with the
rain becoming heavy at times during the overnight hours. With
plenty of cloud cover, lows will fall to around 70 in and around
New York City, and into the mid 60s across outlying areas.

Rain will continue into the day on Monday, eventually tapering off
to showers by Monday afternoon. Temperatures on Monday will be
5-10 degrees below normal, with highs only rising into the upper
60s to mid 70s.

Drier weather will return on Tuesday as high pressure begins to
build into the area.
