...HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED OVER MUCH OF THE SOUTHEASTERN INTERIOR
AND EASTERN ALASKA RANGE...

AN UPPER LEVEL WEATHER SYSTEM MOVING IN FROM THE SOUTHEAST IS
EXPECTED TO PRODUCE SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL OVER MUCH OF THE
SOUTHEAST INTERIOR AND THE EASTERN ALASKA RANGE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE OVER
THE EASTERN ALASKA RANGE WEST OF THE TOK CUTOFF...THE UPPER TANANA
VALLEY AND FORTYMILE COUNTRY WEST OF TOK CUTOFF...AND IN DELTANA
FROM BIRCH LAKE SOUTHEAST. IN THESE AREAS...WIDESPREAD RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WITH LOCAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO AROUND
3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED. SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL MAY BE POSSIBLE IN
DENALI.

THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY CAUSE SIGNIFICANT RISES ON
RIVERS AND STREAMS IN THESE AREAS...ESPECIALLY ON SMALLER
RIVERS AND STREAMS WHERE WATER LEVELS CAN RISE RAPIDLY.

PEOPLE IN THE AFFECTED AREAS SHOULD MONITOR WEATHER FORECASTS.
IF THE EXPECTED RAINFALL AMOUNTS OCCUR OR ARE IMMINENT...FLOOD
ADVISORIES...WATCHES...OR WARNINGS MAY NEED TO BE ISSUED.
