SURF ALONG EAST FACING SHORES WILL BE 12 TO 18 FEET THROUGH FRIDAY.

SURF ALONG SOUTH FACING SHORES WILL BE 4 TO 6 FEET...THEN
INCREASING TO HEIGHTS OF 6 TO 8 FEET BY FRIDAY MORNING.

SURF ALONG WEST FACING SHORES WILL BE 3 TO 5 FEET THROUGH FRIDAY.

SURF ALONG NORTH FACING SHORES WILL BE 4 TO 6 FEET THROUGH FRIDAY.

OUTLOOK THROUGH WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 9:
A LONG PERIOD SWELL FROM HURRICANE JIMENA WILL KEEP SURF ELEVATED
THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK ALONG EAST FACING SHORES. THE LATEST SOUTH
SWELL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO BRING ADVISORY LEVEL SURF THROUGH
THE WEEKEND. THE SMALL NORTHWEST SWELL FROM TROPICAL STORM IGNACIO
WILL TAPER OFF OVER THE WEEKEND. A SMALL WEST SWELL FROM TYPHOON
KILO WILL PERSIST INTO THE WEEKEND.

SURF HEIGHTS ARE FORECAST HEIGHTS OF THE FACE OR FRONT OF WAVES. THE
SURF FORECAST IS BASED ON THE SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT...THE AVERAGE
HEIGHT OF THE ONE THIRD LARGEST WAVES...AT THE LOCATIONS OF THE
LARGEST BREAKERS. SOME WAVES MAY BE MORE THAN TWICE AS HIGH AS THE
SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT. EXPECT TO ENCOUNTER RIP CURRENTS IN OR NEAR
ANY SURF ZONE.
