SURF ALONG WEST FACING SHORES WILL BUILD TO 5 TO 10 FEET LATER
THIS MORNING...RISING TO 14 TO 18 FEET THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...THEN LOWERING TO 10 TO 14 FEET ON THURSDAY.

SURF ALONG EAST FACING SHORES WILL BE 2 TO 4 FEET THROUGH
THURSDAY.

SURF ALONG SOUTH FACING SHORES WILL BE 2 FEET OR LESS THIS
MORNING...RISING TO 2 TO 3 FEET WITH LOCALLY HIGHER SETS THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY.

OUTLOOK THROUGH WEDNESDAY JANUARY 25:
THE LARGE WEST-NORTHWEST SWELL WILL CONTINUE TO DECLINE
THURSDAY NIGHT...BUT A REINFORCING NORTHWEST SWELL WILL ARRIVE
LATE THURSDAY NIGHT AND MAINTAIN ADVISORY LEVEL SURF FRIDAY. A
FRONT WILL MOVE DOWN THE ISLAND CHAIN DURING THE WEEKEND...
BRINGING STRONG NORTHEASTERLY WINDS AND LARGE...SHORT-PERIOD SEAS
FROM THE NORTH-NORTHEAST THAT WILL LIKELY PRODUCE ROUGH...ADVISORY
LEVEL SURF ALONG NORTH AND EAST FACING SHORES. DECLINING SURF IS
EXPECTED MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

SURF HEIGHTS ARE FORECAST HEIGHTS OF THE FACE OR FRONT OF WAVES. THE
SURF FORECAST IS BASED ON THE SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT...THE AVERAGE
HEIGHT OF THE ONE THIRD LARGEST WAVES...IN THE ZONE OF MAXIMUM
REFRACTION. SOME WAVES MAY BE MORE THAN TWICE AS HIGH AS THE
SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT. EXPECT TO ENCOUNTER RIP CURRENTS IN OR NEAR
