At 835 PM CDT/735 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated showers along a
line extending from near Chappell to near Maxwell, moving north at 15
mph.

Rainfall rates of less than one tenth of an inch per hour are
expected this evening. Heavier rain will develop later tonight.

This rain was associated with a developing spring storm. The storm
will move into Southwest Nebraska this evening and stall.
Significant rain and snowfall is expected tonight and Friday across
much of Western and North Central Nebraska. The transition to wet
snow will occur late tonight and Friday.

Locations impacted include...
North Platte, Ogallala, Imperial, Grant, Curtis, Chappell, Oshkosh,
Big Springs, Hayes Center, Sutherland, Hershey, Wauneta, Paxton,
Brady, Wallace, Brule, Maxwell, Madrid, Lewellen and Venango.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 61 between mile markers 25 and 109.
 Highway 92 between mile markers 115 and 138.
 Highway 97 between mile markers 1 and 14.
 Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 78 and 203.
