Weather Summary for Western and North Central Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
739 PM CDT THU JUL 21 2016 /639 PM MDT THU JUL 21 2016/

A persistent heat wave was once again the main storyline Wednesday
across western and north central Nebraska. Highs were in the upper
90s to low 100s. Humidity drove heat index values to near 110
degrees in some locations, generally along and east of Highway 83.
Winds were light and variable under mostly clear skies.

Another mild and muggy night is on top as temperatures fall off
into the upper 60s and 70s. An isolated thunderstorm is possible,
however the vast majority of the area will remain dry.
