Strong to severe thunderstorms moved through portions of the
Sandhills and southwest Nebraska Sunday evening and night. Parts
of Cherry County, including Valentine, received over four inches
of rain, while other locations reported up to golf ball size hail.
Lows ranged from the upper 40s in northwest Nebraska to the upper
50s in north central with gusty northwest winds.

Fair conditions are on tap for today as high pressure pays a brief
visit to the area. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s with west
winds around 10 miles per hour. Scattered storms will develop late
this evening across southwest Nebraska, primarily south of
Interstate 80. A few storms may produce hail and gusty winds. Lows
tonight will range from the mid 40s in the panhandle to the mid
50s in central Nebraska.
