CENTRAL NEBRASKA WERE WELL BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF THE
YEAR. LOW TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING FELL INTO THE 40S AND LOW
50S...WHICH WAS 5 TO NEARLY 15 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THE COLDEST
LOCATION ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING WAS THE NORTH PLATTE
AIRPORT LOCATED IN LINCOLN COUNTY...WHERE A READING OF 45 DEGREES
WAS RECORDED AT 6:06 AM CDT. THE IMPERIAL AIRPORT...WHICH IS
LOCATED IN CHASE COUNTY...CAME WITHIN 2 DEGREES OF TYING A RECORD
LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THIS DATE. IN ADDITION TO A COOL START THIS
MORNING...HIGH TEMPERATURES ON THIS THIRD WEEK OF AUGUST STRUGGLED
ONCE AGAIN INTO THE 70S. THESE HIGHS...WERE 10 TO NEARLY 15
DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR

TONIGHT...ANOTHER COOL AUGUST NIGHT IS IN STORE FOR THE REGION.
LOW TEMPERATURES WILL FALL INTO THE 40S...WHICH IS 10 TO 15
DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THESE LOW TEMPERATURES...ARE ACTUALLY MORE
NORMAL FOR MID SEPTEMBER. A FEW CLOUDS ARE POSSIBLE DURING THE
EARLY EVENING HOURS...BUT WILL GIVE WAY TO CLEAR SKIES AROUND AND
AFTER THE MIDNIGHT HOUR. FINALLY...NORTHWEST WINDS OF 10-15 MILES
PER HOUR WILL BACK TO THE SOUTHWEST NEAR THE MIDNIGHT.
