Overnight...freezing rain and snow continued throughout the
nighttime hours across most of Western and North Central Nebraska,
however, brief lulls in the precipitation were observed.
Hazardous driving conditions were prevalent across much of
Southwestern and North Central Nebraska, in addition to portions
of the Sandhills. Low temperatures fell into the upper teens
across Northwestern the low 30s across the remainder
of the region. Winds were light and variable throughout the night.

Today...the strong winter storm will continue to affect much of
the region, with significant travel impacts expected to continue
along the Interstate 80 and United States Highway 83 corridors. A
mix of freezing rain and snow will continue this morning, with the
precipitation changing to mostly snow before ending later this
afternoon. If you must travel, please allow plenty of time to
reach your destination. Slow down and be prepared for changing
road conditions!
