Weather Summary for Western and North Central Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
706 PM CDT Sat Jun 17 2017 /606 PM MDT Sat Jun 17 2017/

Scattered showers moved through the Sandhills and southwest
Nebraska today in the wake of a cold front. Rainfall amounts were
light, generally under a tenth of an inch. Highs ranged from near
70 in northern Nebraska to the lower 80s in the southwest. Winds
were breezy at times, gusting above 40 miles per hour in the
northern Sandhills.

Any remaining showers this evening, primarily south of Interstate
80, will dissipate by midnight. The clouds will gradually clear
and winds lighten overnight, allowing temperatures to drop into
the 40s in the panhandle and lower 50s elsewhere. Sunday appears
seasonably mild with highs in the upper 70s, partly to mostly
sunny skies, and a light northwesterly breeze.
