Today...unseasonably warm temperatures for the second week of
January were experienced across most of Western and North Central
Nebraska. High temperatures rose into the low 50s across extreme
Southwestern Nebraska, mid 40s over the Sandhills, to the 30s over
North Central Nebraska. Winds were variable during the day, with
mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Tonight...a strong cold front will cross the region, which will
bring in colder air and the chance for light snow across Northern
Nebraska. Low temperatures will fall into the single digits above
zero to mid 20s. Winds will shift to the north as the front moves
through, and become breezy at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 25
