A strong area of low pressure slowly trekked across the state today,
producing rain and wind for much of the day. Rain totals
approached two inches across parts of the northern Sandhills today and
around one inch across southwest Nebraska from storms last night.
Highs ranged from the lower 50s near the Pine Ridge to the mid
60s far southwest. North winds gusted above 30 miles per hour at

Skies will remain mostly cloudy overnight as north winds stay
around 10 to 15 miles per hour. Lows tonight will generally be in
the 40s across the region. The next wave of moisture enters the
panhandle toward sunrise and spreads east throughout the day
Thursday. Highs will be seasonably cool again, with most locations
staying in the 50s.
