FILTERED SUNSHINE AND SOUTHEAST WINDS HELPED TEMPERATURES RISE
INTO THE MID TO UPPER 70S ACROSS MOST OF THE SANDHILLS AND
SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA TODAY. FAR NORTHERN NEBRASKA REACHED THE UPPER
60S. A STORM SYSTEM MOVING OFF THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS SPAWNED STRONG TO
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE PANHANDLE AND NORTHWEST NEBRASKA
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. REPORTS OF GOLF BALL TO BASEBALL SIZE
HAIL WERE RECEIVED FROM GARDEN AND SHERIDAN COUNTIES.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT PARTS OF WESTERN
NEBRASKA LATE THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. SOME STORMS MAY BE
SEVERE WITH DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. LOWS WILL RANGE FROM
THE MID 40S IN THE PANHANDLE TO THE MID 50S ALONG HIGHWAY 83 TO
THE LOWER 60S NORTH CENTRAL.
