WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE
712 PM CST FRI FEB 27 2015 /612 PM MST FRI FEB 27 2015/

TODAY...SKIES WERE MOSTLY CLEAR ALONG AND EAST OF A UNITED STATES
HIGHWAY 83 LINE...WITH PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES WEST OF THIS
LINE...ESPECIALLY OVER THE EASTERN PANHANDLE OF NEBRASKA. HIGH
TEMPERATURES WERE GENERALLY IN THE MID 20S WHERE MOSTLY CLEAR
SKIES DOMINATED...WITH THE UPPER TEEN TO LOW 20S SEEN WHERE CLOUDS
PERSISTED THROUGHOUT THE DAY. SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MILES
PER HOUR...HELPED TO KEEP WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE SINGLE DIGITS
TO LOW TEENS THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAYLIGHT HOURS TODAY.

TONIGHT...LOW TEMPERATURES WILL GENERALLY FALL INTO THE SINGLE
DIGITS ABOVE ZERO ACROSS ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH
CENTRAL...HOWEVER...THESE LOWS WILL BE HIGHLY DEPENDENT UPON
INCREASING CLOUD COVER FROM THE SOUTH AND WEST. SHOULD CLOUDS FAIL
TO MOVE INTO AREAS THAT SAW MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES DURING THE DAY
TODAY...TEMPERATURES COULD FALL EVEN FURTHER THAN CURRENTLY
FORECASTED. WINDS WILL BE FROM THE SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 MILES PER
HOUR. THESE BRISK WINDS...COMBINED WITH THE COLD
TEMPERATURES...WILL CREATE WIND CHILL VALUES AS LOW AS TEENS BELOW
ZERO TO SINGLE DIGITS BELOW ZERO.
