HIGH CLOUDS DID MEANDER ACROSS EXTREME NORTHERN NEBRASKA DURING
THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 5 TO 15 MILES
PER HOUR PREVENTED LOW TEMPERATURES FROM FALLING TO FAR...WITH
MOST LOCATIONS REACHING INTO THE LOW 30S ALONG THE SOUTH DAKOTAN
BORDER AND AREAS OF THE PLATTE RIVER VALLEY...UPPER 30S TO LOW 40S
OVER NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...EASTERN PANHANDLE...AND SOUTHWESTERN
NEBRASKA...TO THE UPPER 40S TO NEAR 50 OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS
OF THE SANDHILLS.

TODAY...A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL
NEBRASKA DURING THE DAY TODAY...USHERING IN COOLER AIR FOR THIS
EVENING. HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 50S OVER
NORTHERN NEBRASKA WHERE THE COLD FRONT WILL AFFECT FIRST...TO THE
LOW 70S OVER SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA WHERE MAXIMUM DAYTIME HEATING
IS EXPECTED PRIOR TO THE COLD FRONT PASSING. SKIES WILL GENERALLY
BE MOSTLY SUNNY...WITH NORTHERLY WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MILES PER HOUR.
