Overnight...clouds began to increase in advance of a strong winter
storm approaching the region from the Desert Southwest. Low
temperatures fell into the teens, with light and variable winds.

Today...the strong winter storm will continue its northeastward
trek into the Southern and Central Plains. As this storm moves
northeast, moisture is expected to expand in areal coverage across
portions of Western and North Central Nebraska. The primary
precipitation type during the daylight hours is expected to be
light freezing rain, which would make road and elevated surfaces
slick. High temperatures will climb into the 30s, with light and
variable winds.
