THE DAY AHEAD A STORM SYSTEM APPROACHED THE AREA. HIGHS RANGED FROM
THE UPPER 40S IN SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA TO NEAR 40 IN NORTH CENTRAL
NEBRASKA WITH SOUTH WINDS.

PRECIPITATION CHANCES INCREASE TONIGHT...ESPECIALLY FOR NORTHERN
NEBRASKA. RAIN WILL MIX WITH AND EVENTUALLY CHANGE TO SNOW BY
SUNRISE FOR NORTHWEST NEBRASKA...WHERE A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
GOES INTO EFFECT AT 6 AM CST FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW. LOWS
OVERNIGHT WILL BE RATHER MILD WITH MOST LOCATIONS STAYING ABOVE
FREEZING WITH SOUTH WINDS TURNING NORTHWEST. GUSTS ABOVE 25 MPH
ARE LIKELY FOR MOST OF WESTERN NEBRASKA BY SUNRISE...WHICH IN
COMBINATION WITH WINTRY PRECIPITATION...WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES.
