Today, strong south winds with sunny skies helped push
temperatures 15 to 20 degrees above normal for much of Nebraska.
Highs ranged from the upper 90s across southwest Nebraska to the
low 90s in north Nebraska. Wind gusts peaked around 25 mph for
areas south of Highway 2.

Tonight, clear skies are expected across the area with overnight
lows in the low 40s for the Panhandle but will remain in the mid
60s for Central Nebraska where winds look to remain elevated out
of the south in the 5 to 15 mph range. Dry conditions continue
into Friday before rain and thunderstorms become possible for the
afternoon and evening.
