Moderate to heavy snow developed across northwest Nebraska
overnight as a storm system moved off the Rockies. Snowfall of 1
to 3 inches were reported in Sheridan and Cherry counties as of 8
A.M. Northeast winds were gusting to 25 miles per hour, blowing
the snow and reducing visibility to under 1 mile. Lows ranged from
the mid 20s along Highway 20 to the mid 30s far southwest
Nebraska.

Snow will continue to overspread the Sandhills and southwest
Nebraska this morning and afternoon. A Winter Storm Warning
remains in effect for areas north of Interstate 80 and a Winter
Weather Advisory along and south. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches
per hour will lead to quick accumulations, and Gusty winds will
continue to blow and drift the snow. Temperatures will remain
nearly steady in the upper 20s to lower 30s through the day.
Overnight lows will range from the mid teens in the panhandle to
lower 20s north central. Accumulating snow will continue into
Friday.
