TODAY AND EARLY THIS EVENING...STRONG AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
MOVED ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE SANDHILLS AND NORTHERN NEBRASKA.
THESE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCED LARGE HAIL IN EXCESS OF ONE INCH IN
DIAMETER...IN ADDITION TO TORRENTIAL RAINFALL. RAINFALL TOTALS
NEAR VALENTINE IN EXCESS OF THREE AND A HALF INCHES WERE COMMON.

TONIGHT...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE
REGION THROUGHOUT THE NIGHTTIME HOURS...WITH A SLOW DECREASE IN
THE AREAL COVERAGE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. LOW TEMPERATURES WILL
FALL INTO THE LOW 40S TO NEAR 60...WITH WINDS TURNING TO THE
NORTHWEST AS A PACIFIC COLD FRONT PUSHES ACROSS THE REGION.
