The information here is very preliminary, since the storm survey is
not yet completed. What is presented here is merely what we know so
far. More details will follow over the course of the day as the
survey progresses.

   Damage Type: Tornado

          Date: Oct 07 2014

      EF Scale: 1
    Wind Speed: 105 MPH

   Path Length: 0.49 miles so far...survey not yet completed
    Path Width: 150 yards

    Start Time: 03:48 PM EDT
 Start Location: 1.72 miles NNE of Stamping Ground, KY
  Start Lat/Lon: 38.293/-84.672

      End Time: 03:49 AM EDT
  End Location: 1.93 miles NNE of Stamping Ground, KY
   End Lat/Lon: 38.292/-84.663

Narrative: The tornado initially touched down in a field where it
blew down some trees. It then traveled eastward causing damage to
multiple structures. There was minor damage to the roofs of two
houses and significant damage to the roof of another house. Two
outbuildings were also destroyed.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 MPH
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 MPH
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 MPH
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 MPH
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 MPH
EF5...Violent...>200 MPH
