...**Preliminary** Damage Report...

The information here is very preliminary, since the storm survey is
not yet completed. What is presented here is merely what we know so
far. More details will follow over the course of the day as the
survey progresses.

   Damage Type: Tornado

          Date: Oct 07 2014

      EF Scale: 1
    Wind Speed: 100 mph

   Path Length: 0.16 miles so far...survey not yet completed
    Path Width: 50-60 yards

      Injuries: 1

    Start Time: 04:12 PM EDT
Start Location: 0.5 miles south of Paris KY
 Start Lat/Lon: 38.202/-84.256

Narrative: Several homes sustained significant damage including loss
of portions of the roofs and damage to walls and siding. One woman
was sucked out of the house and landed on the driveway. She
sustained an injury requiring several stitches. Multiple trees were
downed as well.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 MPH
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 MPH
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 MPH
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 MPH
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 MPH
EF5...Violent...>200 MPH
