Winter/Spring Flood Potential Outlook
National Weather Service Charleston SC
722 PM EDT Thu Mar 16 2017

...Winter/Spring Flood Potential Outlook for Southeast South
Carolina and Southeast Georgia...

This outlook applies to the following counties:

In Southeast South Carolina:
Allendale, Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester,
Hampton and Jasper.

In Southeast Georgia:
Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Jenkins,
Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Screven and Tattnall.

Including the following rivers:
Edisto, Lower Santee, Ogeechee, Ohoopee, Savannah and Canoochee.

The area is not considered to be in a drought at this time. Streamflows
are near to below normal. No significant rainfall is forecast
through at least early next week, although there is a low chance
for significant rain toward the middle of next week, especially
across South Carolina. The one and three month precipitation
outlooks from the Climate Prediction Center do not indicate strong
chances for either above or below normal precipitation. Thus, the
potential for Spring river flooding across the area is expected to
be near to below normal.

This is the last scheduled Winter/Spring Flood Potential Outlook
that will be issued for 2017.
