...SUMMARY...
A BRIEF EFO TORNADO MOVED ACROSS THE VILLAGE OF NORTH CREEK DURING
THE EVENING OF JULY 8. THE TORNADO WAS ACCOMPANIED BY A MICROBURST
SOUTH OF THE TORNADO TRACK. DAMAGE WAS MOSTLY TO HARDWOOD AND
SOFTWOOD TREES. STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO HOMES WAS FROM TREES FALLING
ON HOMES. THE TORNADO TRAVELED A LITTLE LESS THAN A MILE...FROM
THE SOUTHWEST PART OF TOWN NEAR ROUTE 28...TO NEAR 47 BIRD POND
ROAD. MOST OF THE DAMAGE WAS FROM THE STRONG WINDS OF THE
MICROBURST. VIDEO EVIDENCE OF THE TORNADO WAS PROVIDED BY A LOCAL
RESIDENT THROUGH EMERGENCY SERVICES.
