Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Skies started off mostly clear this morning as a cold front came
through switching the winds to the northeast. Lows ranged from the
mid 30s to low 40s. High temperatures were slightly cooler this
afternoon compared to yesterday as highs made it into the mid 70s
to low 80s.

The upper level ridge continues to keep the weather quiet through
the central plains. At the surface an area of high pressure
situated in the Dakotas will keep the winds light out of the

Lows tonight will range from the upper 30s near the Colorado
border to the low to mid 40s for the rest of southwest Kansas.
Other than a few high clouds the skies should be mostly clear and
winds will be light out of the northeast. Tomorrow skies will be
sunny to at times partly cloudy, winds will switch to the
southeast at 10-20 mph and highs will be in the mid 70s.
