AREA WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EASTERN ND/GRAND FORKS
540 AM CDT MON AUG 3 2015

FAIR SKIES AND SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL PERSIST OVER THE NORTHERN
PLAINS WELL INTO THE FIRST PART OF THE COMING WORK WEEK.

A MARKEDLY COOLER AND DRIER CANADIAN POLAR AIRMASS HAS SETTLED
ACROSS THE AREA IN THE WAKE OF AN EARLY MORNING COLD FRONTAL
PASSAGE. AS A RESULT MORNING TEMPERATURES HAVE DROPPED INTO THE
LOWER 50S AND EVEN SOME UPPER. AND NOT MUCH CHANGE IS EXPECTED FOR
THE START OF THE WORK WEEK WITH DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES EXPECTED
TO EDGE ONLY INTO THE 70S... AND NIGHTTIME LOWS REACHING DOWN TO THE
50 DEGREE MARK.

THIS MILD PATTERN SHOULD START TO CHANGE AROUND MIDWEEK... AS THE
NEXT SIGNIFICANT WEATHER SYSTEM TAKES AIM ON THE AREA. NO HUGE
IN STORE... BUT SOMEWHAT HIGHER HUMIDITIES AND TEMPERATURES
COULD GET THE THUNDERSTORM PROCESSES UNDERWAY ON WEDNESDAY.
