Last night, after record breaking warm temperatures during the day
Thursday, temperatures remained about 20 degrees above normal,
with lows only getting down into the 40s. Skies were generally
clear throughout the night and westerly winds started to pick up
between 10 to 15 mph.

Today, temperatures will remain around 20 degrees above normal
with highs getting into the 60s, with a few spots in southern
Nebraska getting up to 70. The extreme northwest Sandhills might
have a hard time reaching the 60s this afternoon, as some cloud
cover is expected in the area. Breezy northwesterly winds between
25 to 30 mph are expected today, with wind gusts up to 35 mph
