Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region

Dry conditions are expected tonight through Tuesday as high
pressure remains over the region. It will also be warm and humid,
with lows in the 60s region-wide. Lows around 70 are possible in
the New York City metro area. Clouds will be on the increase as an
onshore flow early in the night allows clouds over the ocean to
infiltrate from the southeast. With a moist air mass in place,
patchy dense fog is possible.

Any fog will burn off early Tuesday morning and clouds will
decrease. Conditions will continue to be warm and humid, with
highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Cooler readings are expected
along the coast.

A cold front will approach on Wednesday and push offshore
Wednesday night, giving the area its next chance for
precipitation. However moisture will be limited and the best
chances for showers will be eastern sections Wednesday night. This
cold front will also help to push tropical cyclone Maria out to
