Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region

The chances for rain will increase late tonight as an area of low
pressure forms over the Mid-Atlantic along a stalled frontal
boundary to our south and heads northeast. The rain will come
down moderate to heavy at times, mainly across New York City,
northeast New Jersey, and Long Island. Lows will generally be
near to slightly below normal, ranging from the upper 50s well
north of the New York City metro area, to the upper 60s for
eastern Long Island and southeast Connecticut.

Rain chances decrease on Saturday and will end from northwest to
southeast through Saturday afternoon as the low passes well south
and east of Long Island. Clouds will slowly diminish in the
afternoon, mainly for northwest areas. With clouds and rain,
temperatures will continue to be below normal, in the middle 70s
to around 80. Conditions will also be rather breezy, with
northeast winds gusting 30 to 35 mph at times, mainly along the

Dry conditions return Saturday night and persist into the end of
the weekend. Sunday will see slightly below normal temperatures
with comfortable humidity levels.
