The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Cumberland County in central Virginia...
  Southwestern Goochland County in central Virginia...
  Northwestern Powhatan County in central Virginia...

* Until 800 PM EDT

* At 723 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Trenholm, or
  11 miles west of Goochland, moving east at 5 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage
           to trees and powerlines.

* this severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northeastern Cumberland...southwestern Goochland and northwestern
  Powhatan Counties, including the following locations: Whiteville,
  Rock Castle, West View, Jefferson, Provost, Three Square, Pemberton
  and Tamworth.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
