The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
  Northeastern Richmond County in east central Georgia...
  Southwestern Aiken County in central South Carolina...

* Until 530 PM EDT

* At 236 PM EDT, a trained weather spotter reported one inch of rain
  in 15 minutes in North Augusta due to thunderstorms. Rainfall
  rates of 3 to 4 inches per hour will cause urban and small stream
  flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor
  flooding. Ponding of water on roads will make driving hazardous.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  North Augusta, Augusta, Clearwater, Jackson, Gloverville and


Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
