The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Central St. John The Baptist Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Northwestern St. Charles Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  North central Lafourche Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 445 PM CDT

* At 343 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Reserve, Hahnville, Laplace, Killona, Norco, Paradis, Des
  Allemands, Montz, Edgard, Bayou Gauche, Taft, Boutte and Luling.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area
within one hour. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
