WILL AFFECT MUCH OF THE SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS
AND ROLLING PLAINS AS THE ACTIVITY MOVES EASTWARD AROUND 10 TO 15
MPH. LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WILL BE COMMON...WITH BRIEF HEAVY RAIN
WITHIN THE THUNDERSTORMS. THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING RAIN RATES IN EXCESS OF AN INCH AN HOUR FOR SHORT
PERIODS OF TIME. HOURLY RAIN TOTALS OF A TENTH TO HALF INCH WILL
BE COMMON...WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF AN INCH. THE
HEAVIER RAIN WILL RESULT IN PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND MINOR
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREA. MOTORISTS SHOULD
SLOW DOWN AND NEVER DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.
