Weather Summary for Portions of the Central Plains
National Weather Service Hastings NE
512 AM CDT Thu Apr 27 2017

After a cold start...some sunshine will help temperatures rebound to
the middle and upper 50s this afternoon across south central
Nebraska and north central Kansas. Surface high pressure will slide
east and winds will become southeasterly by afternoon. As the wind
changes...clouds will increase from the west and bring in some
showers during the late afternoon hours. Eventually...a fairly
widespread rainfall will set up across the area tonight and Friday.
Rain amounts in general will top one half inch at many
locations...and may approach an inch before ending temporarily by
Friday evening. With the rain expected...temperatures will slip back
to the 40s and lower 50s for afternoon high temperatures on Friday.
This first round of rain is only the beginning...as a widespread
heavier rain...and possibly some snow...is expected Saturday night
through Sunday night.
