WEATHER SUMMARY FOR PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL PLAINS

THIS WEEK WILL TURN MUCH COOLER AND LESS HUMID...WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES TRENDING DOWNWARD. A COOL FRONT HAS RESULTED IN
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING. THESE STORMS WILL EXIT THE
REGION BY MIDDAY...AS THE COOL FRONT PRESSES SOUTHWARD ON ITS WAY
INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS. HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL BE IN THE MID
TO UPPER 70S OVER SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...AND IN THE LOW TO MID 80S
OVER NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS. THE COOLEST DAYS OF THIS WEEK WILL BE
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. CLOUDS WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE FROM THE SOUTH
AND WEST...AND RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE BOTH DAYS...PRIMARILY SOUTH AND
WEST OF THE TRI CITIES. SOME EMBEDDED THUNDER WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.
THIS MIGHT KEEP HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 60S FOR PARTS OF THE REGION
WEDNESDAY. IMPROVEMENT WILL BEGIN THURSDAY AND CONTINUE INTO
FRIDAY...WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE...AND TEMPERATURES GRADUALLY
INCHING UPWARD. A WEAK COOL FRONT WILL COULD BRING A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS LATE SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. TEMPERATURES WILL
RETURN BACK TO NEAR NORMAL THIS WEEKEND.
