Skies varied from sunny to cloudy across the Tri-State region
early in the afternoon on Thursday. At 1 pm MDT (2 pm CDT)
temperatures ranged from 75 degrees in Yuma, Colorado to 88
degrees in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. Winds were primarily from the
east at 5 to 15 mph.

OUTLOOK... Storms are likely Thursday evening across the High
Plains. The main threats will be large to very large hail,
damaging winds, torrential rainfall and a possible tornado or two.
There are still chances for storms through the overnight hours,
but the main timeframe for the strongest storms will be from the
mid afternoon into the evening on Thursday. Areas of fog are also
possible over the region from the early to mid morning hours.
Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s to mid 60s under mostly
cloudy skies. Winds will be from the east at 10 to 20 mph, then
shifting to the northeast at less than 10 mph. Friday`s
temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s under mostly to partly
sunny skies. Winds will be from the northeast and shift to the
southeast at 5 to 15 mph. There are slight chances for storms
beginning in the afternoon, then chances for storms increase over
the entire region, west to east, as the day progresses.
