Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
449 PM CDT Fri Sep 30 2016

Another day of nearly fall perfection occurred across Kansas. There
was a little more cloud cover in the center portions of the state,
but afternoon temperatures wonderfully stayed in the low to mid 70s.
Southeasterly winds were breezy in the western portion of the state
with speeds of 15 to 20 mph and gusts to 25 mph. The rest of the
state had calm to 5 mph winds which were variable.

A perfect evening for those high school football games and other
outdoor activities is in store across the Plains. Nighttime
temperatures shall drop to the mid 40s in the north and mid 50s in
the south. Winds will be light and variable.

This weekend will not disappoint for any fall festivities or outdoor
yard work. Saturday is forecast to have temperatures in the mid 70s
with the lower 80s expected in the Panhandles to extreme southwest
Kansas. Predominantly southeasterly winds are going to have speeds
of 5 to 15 mph.
