Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
459 AM CDT Thu Apr 27 2017

Mostly clear skies were located across the plains states overnight,
as an area of Canadian high pressure moved across the region. Early
morning temperatures were on the chilly side, with temperatures
ranging from the upper 20s in Nebraska to the lower 40s in Oklahoma.

The partly cloudy skies will continue across the region today, as
the ridge of high pressure slides east into the Ozarks. A developing
area of low pressure over the Oklahoma panhandle may lead to showers
and thunderstorms developing over southwest Kansas late this
afternoon. High temperatures today will range from the middle 50s in
Nebraska to the upper 60s in Oklahoma.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms increases for most of Kansas
and northern Oklahoma tonight, as the low pressure area moves across
northern Oklahoma. Low temperatures tonight will range from the
lower 30s in northwest Kansas to the middle 50s in eastern Oklahoma.
