Clouds spread across overnight as rain developed over western
Nebraska. Some drier air overhead made for a slower process in the
rain reaching the ground. By daybreak surface winds were from the
east and moisture deepening for rain to become more widespread as
temperatures dropped into the 40s west to upper 20s in far north
central to include 27 degrees at Springview.

Today rain will further develop east where clouds and the easterly
winds will keep temperatures on a slow climb. Daytime temperatures
will peak in the 50s this afternoon that is closer to normal highs
for this time of year. Rain is forecast to continue into tonight
and Wednesday where rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches is
possible in the west before the rain tapers off and ends late
Wednesday.
