Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
513 AM EST Thu Feb 22 2018

A cold front will remain stalled just to the south as high
pressure builds to the north. Much cooler air will settle in from
the north, as temperatures fall through the day. Much of the
region will be warm enough for plain rain, but the rain will begin
to mix with or changeover to sleet late in the day.

The precipitation will likely taper off early tonight as
temperatures fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s. On Friday,
the precipitation moves back in from the south. A wintry mix is
possible across interior locations early, then plain rain is
forecast during the afternoon as temperatures warm through the
30s.
