WISCONSIN WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN WI
500 AM CDT TUE JUN 02 2015

.YESTERDAY...

HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER THE GREAT LAKES AREA BROUGHT QUIET
WEATHER CONDITIONS TO THE REGION ON MONDAY UNDER MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES.

AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES CLIMBED INTO THE 60S FOR MOST AREAS. THE
EXCEPTION WAS ALONG THE GREAT LAKES...WHERE HIGHS IN THE 50S
PREVAILED DUE TO PERSISTENT EASTERLY WINDS. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGED
FROM 51 AT SUPERIOR TO 72 AT BOSCOBEL. THE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES
FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR ARE IN THE LOWER 70S.

.OVERNIGHT...

SKIES WERE MOSTLY CLEAR OVERNIGHT WITH QUIET WEATHER DUE TO HIGH
PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT LAKES REGION. HIGH CLOUDS STREAMED INTO THE
STATE EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. THE MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS
ALLOWED TEMPERATURES TO DROP INTO THE UPPER 30S AND LOWER 40S ACROSS
MUCH OF WISCONSIN. A FEW LOCATIONS ACROSS THE STATE BOTTOMED OUT IN
THE LOWER 30S.

.FORECAST...

MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WILL HELP TEMPERATURES CLIMB CLOSER TO SEASONAL
NORMALS TODAY. HIGHS WILL BE IN THE LOWER TO MID 70S... EXCEPT THE
60S NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY OVER NORTHWEST WISCONSIN TONIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY NIGHT AS A WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE APPROACHES FROM THE
WEST. THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE REST OF THE
STATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY AS THIS WEAKENING LOW PRESSURE
AREA SLIDES EAST. THE THREAT FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE ON FRIDAY AS A STRONGER COLD FRONT MOVES ACROSS THE GREAT
LAKES.

DRY WEATHER IS THEN EXPECTED TO RETURN ON SATURDAY. TEMPERATURES
THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK WILL BE MORE IN LINE WITH EARLY JUNE
NORMALS.
