Wisconsin Weather Summary

.PAST 24 HOURS...
After a cold start over northwest Wisconsin Thursday morning,
temperatures warmed into the 30s statewide. Clouds increased and
areas of light mixed precipitation occurred over southern and
western Wisconsin late in the afternoon. The mixed precipitation
become widespread Thursday night as low pressure moved across the
state. 4 to 7 inches of snow accumulated over northwest Wisconsin
while more freezing rain and light ice accumulation occurred over
central Wisconsin. It was mostly rain in southeast Wisconsin. The
precipitation did linger into Friday morning over the eastern half
of the state.


.FORECAST...
Quiet weather will briefly return to the badger state for the
remainder of the day and into Saturday morning. Strong low
pressure will then move across the state Saturday night, possibly
bringing heavy snow accumulations to northwest Wisconsin. Mostly
rain and possibly thunderstorms will occur over northwest
Wisconsin with mixed precipitation expected from west central
Wisconsin into northeast Wisconsin. The low will also bring windy
conditions to the state during this time. Quiet and mild days
will follow for early next week especially for southern Wisconsin.
