At 542 PM CDT, Doppler radar and National Weather Service employee
was tracking very heavy rainfall along interstate 69E in the San
Benito vicinity. Rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour were noted
with visibilities only a few hundred feet and water accumulating on
the highway with some possible flooding along the frontage roads.
The shower is moving very slowly west to southwest at 5 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Harlingen, San Benito, Rio Hondo, Miller Jordan Middle School, San
Benito Library, San Benito City Hall, South Texas Academy Of Medical
Technology, Treasure Hills Elementary School, Treasure Hills Golf
Club and Downs Elementary School.


Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
