...NWS Damage Survey for 2/28/2017 Randolph County Tornado...

.UPDATE...This tornado has been upgraded to an EF-2 and the track
length has been increased due to the discovery of new damage.

This tornado was associated with the same supercell thunderstorm
that produced the long-track/strong tornado that impacted
locations near Perryville (MO), Ava (IL), and Vergennes(IL).

SURVEY_SUMMARY: This tornado crossed out of Perry County (MO) and
moved across far southern Randolph County (IL) south of Rockwood.  The
tornado caused damage to trees and snapped 7 power poles on IL
Highway 3 and caused extensive tree damage along Gun Club Road. The
damage was rated EF-2.  The tornado continued northeast into Jackson
County (IL) which is serviced by National Weather Service Paducah.

Tornadoes into the following categories.

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
