At 600 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Carthage to 7 miles southwest of Stonewall to 11 miles northeast of Mansfield. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Shreveport, Carthage, Greenwood, Stonewall, Ringgold, Deberry, Keachi, Grand Cane, Longstreet, Keat Chie, Carmel, Front, Spring Ridge, Kingston, Loggy Bayou, Ninock, Midyett, Kickapoo, Keithville, and Deadwood. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
