.Short term...
TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT...The surface trough over the islands
will remain nearly stationary in the next few days. Ridge of high
pressure to the south have imposed stable weather over Tutuila
and slowly extending eastward over to the Manua islands. RAOB
from this afternoon depicts a stable profile. Models continue to
hold this stable weather across the territory tonight before the
trough rematerializes on Thursday afternoon. Gentle trades will
persist tonight and later shift to the east on Thursday afternoon.

.Long term...
SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...The aforementioned trough will shift
south on Sunday morning as another band of showers from the east
moves over on Sunday night. High pressure to the southwest will
shift and increase winds to breezy trades on Sunday night. As the
fast moving high pressure reposition to the south of Tutuila on
Monday morning, trades will again shift to east winds. However,
wet weather regime will remain over the islands through the new
