During the past 24 hours ending at 7AM CDT Tuesday, thunderstorms
produced localized heavy precipitation in northeastern Montana,
western and central North Dakota, northern South Dakota, northern
Nebraska, and northwestern Missouri. Precipitation amounts
generally ranged from 1.00-3.50 inches with a few locally higher
amounts. Elsewhere across the Missouri River Basin, scattered
precipitation amounts of generally less than 0.50 inches occurred.

For the next 24-hour period ending at 7AM CDT Wednesday, light to
moderate precipitation of generally less than 1.0 inch is
expected across portions of the Missouri River Basin. This includes
eastern Montana, western North Dakota, northeastern Colorado, eastern
Kansas, and western/northern Missouri.

Minor to moderate flooding is occurring or forecast at several
locations along the North Platte River in eastern Wyoming and
western Nebraska. The North Platte River is expected to stay above
flood stage for several weeks.

Additionally, minor to moderate flooding is occurring at many
locations in the lower basin due to the recent rainfall.
