This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Severe storms are likely this afternoon and evening along a
southward moving cold front. The primary threats will be damaging
winds around 70 mph, locally heavy rain and hail up to the size of
half dollars. Flooding of low-lying areas or typical flood prone
areas may be possible across portions of southeast Kansas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

A storm system may bring a rain and snow mix to portions of central
Kansas Thursday night and Friday morning. Accumulating snow is not
expected at this time.

Much colder air and the first hard freeze of the season may arrive
late Friday night to much of the area.


Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening,
especially for areas along and east of the Kansas Turnpike.
