...THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA THROUGH THIS EVENING...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

RIP CURRENTS: THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS FOR THE
EAST COAST BEACHES OF SOUTH FLORIDA TODAY.

THUNDERSTORMS: THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TODAY, ESPECIALLY OVER
THE INTERIOR AND GULF COAST. THE PRIMARY HAZARDS ARE LIGHTING AND

MAINLY IN THE GULF COAST METRO AREAS, ALTHOUGH THE EAST COAST
METRO AREAS OF SOUTH FLORIDA MAY HAVE SOME LOCALIZED STREET
FLOODING AS WELL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS MONITORING A TROPICAL WAVE NEAR
EASTERN CUBA THAT IS EXPECTED TO TRACK WEST OR WEST-NORTHWEST
THROUGH THE FLORIDA STRAITS THIS WEEKEND AND INTO THE SOUTHEASTERN
GULF OF MEXICO EARLY NEXT WEEK. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE OF THIS
SYSTEM HAVING TROPICAL DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
HOWEVER, RESIDENTS AND VISITORS SHOULD CONTINUE TO CLOSELY MONITOR
THE FORECAST OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. STAY INFORMED WITH THE LATEST
PRODUCTS FROM THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER AND THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI.

REGARDLESS OF THE POTENTIAL TROPICAL SYSTEM, THUNDERSTORMS ARE
LIKELY INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. THERE IS A THREAT OF HEAVY RAINFALL
CAUSING FLOODING, PARTICULARLY SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. THE RISK
OF RIP CURRENTS IS FORECAST TO INCREASE SUNDAY THROUGH EARLY NEXT
WEEK, FOR BOTH THE ATLANTIC AND GULF COASTS.
