Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

High pressure built into western Minnesota overnight and brought
mostly clear skies along and west of the Mississippi River. Low
temperatures ranged from the middle to upper 20s across northern
Minnesota...to the upper 30s across southern Iowa.

Under mostly to partly sunny skies across the
region...temperatures were in the middle 30s to middle 40s this
morning. Rain showers are expected across parts of northeast Iowa
and southwest Wisconsin late this afternoon...as a low pressure
system moves into the Central Plains. High temperatures will rise
into the upper 40s to middle 50s.

The low pressure system will track into the Ohio River Valley
tonight and wrap showers into parts of northeast Iowa and
southwest Wisconsin mainly this evening. Low temperatures are
expected to fall into the upper 20s to middle 30s.
