A COLD FRONT PASSED THROUGH OVERNIGHT AND WILL BRING COOLER AIR INTO
THE REGION TODAY. ALTHOUGH SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND NORTH CENTRAL
KANSAS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN DRY ON THIS BIG TRAVEL DAY...BOTH EAST
AND WEST WILL LIKELY SEE SOME SNOW AMOUNTS. HIGHEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS
OF NEAR 4 TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MINNESOTA WITH 2 TO 4
INCHES EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF IOWA. TO OUR WEST...THE PANHANDLE
AND AREAS OF COLORADO AND WYOMING WILL SEE ANYWHERE FROM TRACE
AMOUNTS OF SNOW TO OVER 6 INCHES IN PORTIONS OF THE MOUNTAINS. A
SURGE OF COLD AIR WILL ALSO PLUNGE SOUTH WITH THIS SYSTEM...BRINGING
HIGHS IN THE TEENS THROUGH SOUTH DAKOTA...20S AND 30S INTO NEBRASKA
AND IOWA AND 40S IN KANSAS.
