Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Over the past 24 hours...with a low pressure system traversing
the region...many locales received much needed precipitation. The
amounts ranged greatly from west to east over the area. Highest
amounts were more over northern and western areas...where over 1
to 2 inches fell. Some of this precipitation fell as snow...and
occurred over portions of northeast Colorado where 1 to 4 inches
fell. Daytime high temperatures ranged in the 50s to near 60F
while overnight lows only dropped into the 30s west...to low 40s
east. Many locales also saw strong wind gusts in a 40 to 60 mph
OUTLOOK... looking ahead...the region will see several chances for
additional precipitation in the coming week. The latter portion
of the weekend will produce the first chance with a bigger system
for midweek where over an inch of precipitation is possible.
Another system affects the region by the end of next week.
Looking for above normal temperatures with highs ranging from the
50s into the lowers 60s...and overnight lows mainly in the 30s.
